China's foreign minister says the nation will support the euro currency and take steps to help in the recovery of the world economy, according to AP. Minister Yang Jiechi said Beijing supports the European Union and the International Monetary Fund in stabilizing the euro currency and in reintroducing economic growth. His interview was published in the Rzeczpospolita daily on Friday, at the start of his two-day visit to Poland. A debt crisis in the euro zone has undercut the currency's stability and has shaken the markets. Jiechi said China has faith in the euro and has been increasing its participation in the currency on world's securities market. China's macroeconomic regulations and foreign cooperation should help balancing the world economy, he said.
