Tropical Storm Eugene formed off Mexico's Pacific coast on Sunday and was not expected to make landfall although forecast show it could reach hurricane strength mid-week, the National Hurricane Center said on Sunday, according to Reuters. Eugene was located 410 miles (660 kms) south of the popular Mexican beach resort of Acapulco and had maximum sustained winds of 40 mph (65 kms), the Miami-based center said. There are currently no coastal watches and warnings in effect.
