Monday, corresponding to August 01, 2011, will be the first day of the holy month of Ramadan, according to a statement by the Royal Court quoting the Supreme Court as saying today. The statement by the Royal Court quoted the Supreme Court as saying at its summer headquarters in Taif Province that it received several assurances that the new lunar moon was not eye-seen at sunset this evening, an evidence that Monday August 01, 2011, will be the first day of the holy month of Ramadan and that tomorrow Sunday, 31 July 2011, will be the last day of this month of Sha'ban 1432 H. The Supreme Court avails itself of this opportunity to congratulate the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud; Crown Prince Sultan bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Deputy Premier, Minister of Defense and Aviation and Inspector General; Prince Naif bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Second Deputy Premier and Minister of Interior; the Saudi government and people; the Muslim expatriates in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia; and the Muslim nation on the advent of the holy month of Ramadan, wishing them successful fasting and accepted performance by Allah Almighty.
