German heavy vehicle maker MAN raised its business outlook Thursday after the group's second-quarter profit almost doubled amid strong demand for commercial vehicles, according to dpa. Net profit jumped to 289 million euros (416 million dollars) during the three months to end of June compared with 151 million euros in the same period last year, the group said. This followed a 17-per-cent gain in revenue to 4.24 billion euros in the quarter under review. MAN expects revenue to grow by between 7 and 15 per cent this year after previously predicting an increase of between 7 and 10 per cent.
