Eight people went missing in Nepal when a taxi cab plunged into the Kaligandaki River on Friday, police said according to dpa. The car was heading from the Myagdi district to Beni in western Nepal when it plunged some 50 metres down a slope into the river. Police rescue teams located the wreckage some 300 metres downstream, but the occupants had gone missing. Police said there was little hope of finding them alive.
