The Assistant to the U.S. President for Security Affairs and Terror Combat John Brennan said today that his county strongly supports the efforts exerted by Yemen in the combat of terrorism, noting its great concern over the expansion of the danger exposed by Al-Qaeda and the confrontations in the Yemeni Province of Abin. During a meeting in Sanaa with the Assistant Secretary General of the Peoples General Conference Sultan Al-Burkani and the Assistant Secretary General for Party Affairs Dr. Ahmed Obeid bin Dughr, Brennan lauded the Yemeni armed and security forces for their skillful confrontation with Al-Qaeda. He reiterated his countries support for the GCC initiative to solve Yemen crisis which calls for peaceful transition of power.
