Syria, WHO Discuss Cooperation

Syrian Prime Minister Adel Safar met here today with Regional Director of World Health Organization (WHO) Hussein Al-Jazaeri.
The meeting dealt with means of enhancing and developing mechanisms of cooperation between the organization and the Syrian health bodies.
The two sides discussed cooperation in the fields of spreading health awareness, preventing diseases, supporting a comprehensive healthcare program within the framework of the integrated development process.
In a similar meeting, Syrian Minister of Health Dr. Wael Nader Al-Halqi discussed with Al-Jazaeri cooperation programs between the two sides and means to boost cooperation to meet the growing health needs of citizens, SANA reported.
