The Gulf Health Awareness Committee, an affiliate of the Cooperation Council of the Gulf (GCC), began its 7th meeting here today to raise awareness about the importance of health information in the GCC countries. During its two-day deliberations, the Committee which works under the GCC Health Ministerial Council, will review decisions adopted by the 70th Ministerial Council's Conference and the recommendations of the 74th meeting of the Council's Executive Body. The Committee will also examine the prospects of a campaign to raise awareness about the non-communicable diseases and means of monitoring the implementation of the campaign at the level of Member States in light of the First meeting of the Gulf Coordinators in this context.
