Two adults and an 8-year-old boy died after being struck by lightning in Vietnam, authorities said Thursday, as heavy storms wreaked havoc in central provinces. According to dpa, the two men were working in paddy fields and the boy was walking near the sea in Quang Ngai province when they were struck by lightning during storms Wednesday afternoon, Nguyen Long Oai from the local Flood and Storm Prevention unit said. High winds tore off the roofs of several houses in the area. Several fishing boats also got into trouble, with 25 men rescued and 18 still missing, he said.
