The Third Economic Dialogue between The Cooperation Council For the Arab States of the Gulf (GCC) and The European Union (EU) began its works this morning at the GCC headquarters in Riyadh. The Dialogue is convened within the framework of the last meeting during which a deal was reached for the implementation of the joint working program between the GCC and the European Union for the period 2010-2013 as well as the integration of financial markets and the GCC monetary developments and policies in the European Union, in addition to promotion of investment and development assistance in both areas. It will be attended by a number of experts and senior officials from the European Union and the European Central Bank as well as ministries of finance and monetary institutions and central banks in the GCC states and the Council's general secretariat.
