The Organization of the Islamic Conference (OIC) and King Abdulaziz City for Science and Technology (KACST) held a meeting here today under the chairmanship of Prince Dr. Turki Ibn Saud Ibn Mohammed, the City's Vice President for Research Institutes, to discuss the project of the establishment of a Space Company for Economic, Scientific and Social Development in the member states, aiming to provide advanced communications services, and to encourage satellite industry and their services. The meeting was attended by OIC Assistant Secretary General Ambassador Abdul-Moaez Bukhari and representatives of the member states taking part in the project including the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Malaysia, Turkey, Kazakhstan, and Indonesia.
