IDB President lays foundation stone for "Fa'el Khair" project in Bangladesh

President of the Jeddah-based Islamic Development Bank (IDB) Dr. Ahmed Mohammed Ali arrived in Dhaka today to follow-up the implementation of a number of projects and programs carried out by the bank in Bangladesh following the Sidr cyclone in November 2010.
Dr. Ali will also lay the foundation stone for Fa'el Khair (philanthropist) project in Bangladesh which includes a number of multi-purpose safe havens and shelters in the cyclone-hit coastal areas and transferring them to schools and other useful facilities in ordinary circumstances. To this end, IDB has donated $130 million.
