Dr. Abdullatif bin Rashed Al-Zayani, the Secretary General of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) congratulated the GCC leaders on the 30th anniversary of the establishment of the group. In a statement on the occasion today, he said the GCC was successfully established, thanks to Allah Almighty and the GCC leaders. He welcomed the kind patronage of Prince Salman bin Abdulaziz, the Governor of Riyadh Region, of the occasion tomorrow at the headquarters of the GCC in Riyadh. He said a number of princes, ministers, diplomatic corps accredited to the Kingdom, senior personalities and media men will attend the event in which former secretaries general and assistants of the secretary general will be honored. Al-Zayani paid tribute to Saudi Arabia's hosting of the GCC, lauding the services rendered to its personnel during their stay in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. He gave an account on the achievements of the GCC over the past 30 years in the political, economic, military, security, social and cultural fields.
