The Ministers of Foreign Affairs of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) Member States concluded here today their extraordinary meeting. The meeting issued a statement suspending the initiative concerning the situation in Yemen for lack of appropriate circumstances for agreement on it. The meeting hoped the Yemeni president would sign the agreement on the situation in Yemen as quickly as possible to ensure the implementation of the agreement and the peaceful transition of power. The meeting regretted the siege of the United Arab Emirates embassy in Sanaa. The meeting thanked all who supported the GCC countries' efforts especially the ambassadors of the GCC countries in Sanaa and the ambassadors of the United States, the United Kingdom and the European Union.
