Forest fires are still burning around the Far East. Russia's Emergencies Ministry said on Wednesday they affected over 3,300 hectares of land. In Yakutia, 30 fires are raging on the territory of 2,563 hectares, Itar-Tass quoted press service of the Far Eastern emergencies centre as saying. Forest fires spread over 643 hectares in the Amur region and 140 hectares - in the Khabarovsk territory. On Tuesday, 51 fires were registered in the Far East, ten of them were put out. Around 1,800 people and 236 fire-fighting equipment were engaged.
