Dr Ibtisam Olayan Clinches Gold and Bronze Medals At KIWIE

Dr.Ibtisam Olayan of the School of Sciences of King Saud University (KSU) has won gold and bronze medals at Korean International Women Invention Exposition (KIWIE) organized by Korea Women Inventors Association (KWIA) held from May 04-07.
Dr.Ibtisam's invention on using solar energy for clay-water-cooler won the gold medal while her invention for utilizing Nano technology in protecting the skin from ultraviolet rays clinched her the Bronze medal. The award-giving function was attended by 400 inventors from 30 countries.
This is the second win of Dr. Ibtisam during this year. She has won a silver medal at the 10th Malaysia Technology Expo held in February in the Malaysian capital - Kuala Lumpur.
