The Secretary General of the Muslim World League (MWL), Dr. Abdullah bin Abdulmohsen Al-Turki received here today the visiting President of "Siraj Al-Aloum Al-Salafiyah" University in Nepal, Dr. Shamim Ahmed Nadwi. During the meeting, Dr. Nadwi presented a report to the Secretary General about the status of the university, its colleges and departments. He said 2,000 students are pursuing their academic studies under the direct teaching assistance of 91 specialists in Sharia and other aspects of Islamic sciences. He added that the University also oversees the Holy Quran memorization centers and meets the educational needs of one million Muslims in Nepal. For his part, Dr Al-Turki expressed the MWL's readiness to cooperate with the Islamic University in Nepal and assist it in accomplishing its objectives in cultural and educational spheres.
