Pakistani Ambassador in Washington Husain Haqqani disclosed today that the next round of tripartite talks between Pakistan, Afghanistan and the United States will be held in Islamabad during the first week of the month of May. In a press statement issued this morning in Washington, he said the talks will focus on strengthening joint efforts to achieve security and stability in the region. He denied American reports, which claimed that Pakistan was seeking to end the alliance between Kabul and Washington, saying that Pakistan is a key partner in the war on terrorism and supported American efforts in this context.
