Awwal 20, 1432, April 24, 2011, SPA -- Pakistan's Information Minister Dr. Firdous Aashiq Awaan highlighted today the dire need of resolving peacefully all outstanding differences between India and Pakistan through a constructive dialogue. "This will be in the interest of the two countries and will jointly contribute to the convergence of the two peoples, impacting positive consequences for the development and prosperity of the entire region," she said. Dr Firdous made these remarks during a reception here this morning for the visiting delegation of Indian Journalists. "Moreover, the lasting peace in South Asia depends on finding a peaceful solution to the Kashmir dispute in accordance with the wishes of the Kashmiris." She welcomed the resumption of a process of dialogue for a comprehensive peace between Islamabad and New Delhi, pointing out that this will increase bilateral cooperation in the context of common challenges facing the region, particularly the challenges of terrorism and extremism.
