A security source, who asked not to be named, said the unidentified gunmen driving a civilian car opened fire from guns with silencers, at one of employees of the intelligence service who were attending a meeting in the courtyard of Baghdad's western Al-Mansour district this morning, which led to his death on the spot and the attackers fled. Immediately, police scrambled to shut down the area of the shooting scene and began their search for insurgents. "However, the dead body was taken to the forensic medicine department (for postmortem)." The source gave no further details about the victim's name or rank, or the party that stands behind the incident.
