Awwal 17, 1432 H / April 21, 2011, SPA -- Yemeni President Ali Abdullah Saleh met in Sanaa today with Secretary-General of the Gulf Cooperation Council Dr. Abdul Latif bin Rashid Al Zayani, who is currently visiting Yemen. During the meeting, they discussed areas of cooperation between Yemen and Gulf Cooperation Council and the ongoing developments in the region. The Secretary General of Gulf Cooperation Council conveyed the view of the Foreign Ministers of the Council to resolve the crisis in Yemen in the light of the meetings that they conducted recently with Yemeni parties. The Yemeni president welcomed the efforts and benevolent endeavors of the States of the Gulf Cooperation Council to resolve the crisis, stressing that positive dealing with these efforts will achieve security for his country and preserve its security, unity and stability.
