Awwal 26, 1432 / April 30, 2011, SPA -- Yemeni President Ali Abdullah Saleh met here today with the Secretary General of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) member states, Dr. Abdullatif Al-Zayani. During the meeting, aspects of the arrangements for the signing of the initiative agreement of the GCC to resolve the crisis in Yemen and the mechanisms for its implementation. President Saleh renewed his welcome of the GCC initiative and expressed appreciation to the good efforts being exerted by the GCC member states and their keenness on the unity of Yemen, its security and stability.
