Awwal 09, 1432, April 13 ,2011, SPA -- U.S. President Barack Obama has expressed the readiness of U.S. Administration to expand the strategic relationship with the Organization of Islamic Conference (OIC) through continuing dialogue and close-contacts. During a meeting with OIC Secretary General Ekmeleddin Ihsanoglu at the White House last night, President Obama commended Ihsanoglu's efforts in continuing cooperation and partnership with the United States of America and the Organization in the fields of polio eradication, ensuring maternal and child health, combating intolerance and other political issues. For his part, the OIC Secretary General emphasized the necessity for finding a just and lasting solution to Palestinian-Israeli conflict for a steady progress of relations between the United States and the Islamic world. During the meeting, they exchanged views on developments at the international arena and agreed on continuing the constructive dialogue between the Organization and the U.S. administration.
