Awwal 07, 1432, April 11, 2011, SPA -- The operator of Japan's damaged nuclear plant said external power was restored at three of its six reactors Monday and that operations to spray water onto spent fuel pools had resumed. External power had been lost at the Fukushima Daiichi Nuclear Power Station, soon after the magnitude-7 earthquake struck eastern Japan Monday afternoon, but it was restored about an hour later, the government's Nuclear and Industrial Safety Agency said. The Meteorological Agency revised the quake's magnitude to 7 from an initial reading of 7.1. The agency issued a tsunami warning for the coast of Ibaraki prefecture. Tsunami waves as high as 1 metre were predicted, but no tidal waves materialized and the warning was lifted, according to a report of DPA.
