Minister of Finance Meets Tony Blair

Awwal 06, 1432,April 10, 2011, SPA -- The Minister of Finance Dr. Ibrahim bin Abdulaziz Al-Assaf met here today with Special Envoy of the Quartet on the Middle East and former British Prime Minister Tony Blair and his accompanying delegation.
The meeting dealt with economic aspects in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, its ambitious plans and programs executed in various fields, the Kingdom's role in supporting the efforts of global financial and economic stability, and the role of the Quartet to ease the sufferings of the Palestinian people.
Blair commended the Kingdom's role in this regard within the framework of developmental projects and programs funded by the Kingdom as well as its support for the budget of the Palestinian National Authority.
The meeting was attended by Eng. Yousef Al-Bassam, Vice President and Managing Director of Saudi Fund for Development.
