Awwal 04, 1432 H / April 08, 2011, SPA -- Newly appointed Secretary General of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) Dr. Abdullatif bin Rashid Al-Zayani today lauded the prudent vision and significant contents of the address of Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Deputy Commander-in-chief of the Kingdom of Bahrain to his people last night. Dr. Al-Zayani said the speech disclosed the size of the plot conspired against Bahrain, its people, reformatory project and pioneer developmental experience which targeted the country's security and stability and the spread of sedition in the Bahraini society. Thanks to Allah Almighty and the prudency of the leadership of Bahrain, the crisis was contained, he added. He built on the Bahraini second senior official's notion that the firm position of the Peninsula Shield, its member countries' generous support for Bahrain and the firm determination of the Bahraini leadership have combined to create a strong deterrence against the plot. Al-Zayani praised Bahrain Crown Prince's call for the people of the island nation to stick to national unity, tolerance, rejection of violence, sedition and sectarianism and work for construction, innovation, development and better future of Bahrain. He added that the address of the Crown Prince has drawn the general outlines of the coming political movement in Bahrain through the country's current constitutional institutions. Dr. Al-Zayani confirmed that the address was a message of hope for Bahrainis of a bright future through the unity of its people. He said Bahraini people's solidarity is the only way to overcome the crisis, and achieve aspirations for a secure, prosper and developed country.
