OIC Secretary General Congratulates Kazakhstan for Successful Presidential Elections

Awwal 01, 1432 / April 05, 2011, SPA -- The Secretary General of the Organization of the Islamic Conference (OIC) Prof. Ekmeleddin Ihsanoglu congratulated the people of Kazakhstan for their political maturity and the President Nursultan Nazarbayev for the great victory which reflects the confidence of the people of Kazakhstan in his able leadership.
Upon the invitation of the government of the Republic of Kazakhstan, a high level delegation of observers from the (OIC) General Secretariat took part in the monitoring of the presidential elections held on Sunday 3rd of April 2011.
OIC delegation met with several senior stakeholders in Kazakhstan, an important member of the Organization of the Islamic Conference which will assume the OIC ministerial chairmanship in June 2011.
