Akhir 26, 1432, March 31, 2011, SPA-- An earthquake with a magnitude of 6.0 jolted north-eastern Japan Thursday, the Meteorological Agency said. There were no immediate reports of casualties or property damage. The agency did not issue a tsunami warning. The epicenter of the 4:15 pm (0715 GMT) quake was off the coast of Miyagi prefecture, the agency said. There have been no reports as to whether the stricken Fukushima I nuclear power station was affected by the earthquake. The same region was hit by a 9.0-magnitude earthquake and resulting tsunami on March 11.
