Akhir 25, 1432, March 30, 2011, SPA -- French President Nicolas Sarkozy met Chinese President Hu Jintao on Wednesday during a brief visit to Beijing before a Group of 20 (G-20) seminar on international monetary reform. Chinese Foreign Ministry officials said Hu and Sarkozy had planned to discuss a range of bilateral and international issues, but there were no immediate details of the talks, DPA reported. Sarkozy was scheduled to travel on to Japan for a solidarity visit following Thursday's G20 meeting in the south-eastern Chinese city of Nanjing. France currently holds the rotating presidency of the G20, which groups the world's leading developed and emerging markets. Finance ministers and central bank chiefs from most of the major economies are to attend the one-day seminar in Nanjing, which is to be chaired by French Finance Minister Christine Lagarde. The seminar was scheduled to focus on international capital flows.
