Awwal 03, 1432 H/Feb 06, 2011, SPA -- Six people died fighting a forest fire in China that officials said was probably started by fireworks, according to UPI. The fire erupted around noon Saturday in east China's Zhejiang province, Xinhua said Sunday. Additionally, three people were injured. About 300 people, including firefighters and volunteers, were able to put the fire out shortly after 10 p.m. Authorities said the fire might have resulted from fireworks being set off at the graves of relatives in Fulin Village in Chun'an County. All of those killed were villagers, including a college student who was home for the Lunar New Year holiday. Local authorities were told to be on the lookout for fires because people were setting off fireworks and burning paper money to honor their ancestors.
