Akhir 13, 1432 H/March 18, 2011, SPA -- Britain's defense ministry said that a soldier has died from wounds suffered in a roadside bomb blast in southern Afghanistan, according to AP. The Ministry of Defense said the soldier, whose name was not immediately released, was wounded while on patrol Wednesday in the Nahr-e Saraj district of Helmand Province. It said, the soldier _ from 2nd Battalion, the Parachute Regiment _ was evacuated by helicopter to a military hospital in Camp Bastion and then flown back to Britain where he died Friday with his family by his side. His death brings to 360 the number of British forces and civilian defense workers killed in Afghanistan since 2001.
