Akhir 13, 1432 H/March 18, 2011, SPA -- The delegation of the Saudi-British Friendship Committee of the Shoura Council has briefed a British team specialized in human rights on the regulations and legislations on human rights in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia stressing its keenness on protecting human rights guaranteed by the Islamic sharia (law) which is the basis for regulations in the kingdom. This came during the meeting held here by the committee's delegation with the team from human rights administration at the British foreign ministry and International Amnesty organization. The delegation highlighted efforts by Saudi Arabia to spread awareness among citizens and expatriates on their rights in various fields.
