Akhir 09, 1432, March 14, 2011, SPA -- Thirty-three Afghans were killed Monday when a suicide bomber detonated his explosives inside an army recruiting office in the northern Afghan province of Kunduz, a provincial spokesman said. Around 40 others were injured in the attack in the centre of the provincial capital, also called Kunduz, said Muhbobullah Sayedi, spokesman for the province's governor. Most of the victims were volunteers who had queued up near the centre to enroll with the national army, he said. A German Press Agency 'DPA' reporter said the blast was followed by the sound of gunfire.
