Akhir 08, 1432 / March 13, 2011, SPA -- Fire-fighters on Sunday are continuing their efforts to contain a fire that has been raging for more than 22 hours in a forage plant in Tongliao City, north China's Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region. The fire that broke out at the noon time Saturday has burnt an area of 10,000 square meters in the hay storage yard of the forage plant in Yuliangbao Township by 10 a.m. Sunday. No casualties were reported, Xinhua reported. Fire-fighters said strong winds have fanned the flames, making it difficult to contain the fire. Fire-fighters have dug a 200-meter-long and 50-meter-wide isolation belt to prevent the fire from spreading. The forage plant also raises more than 10,000 cows. Losses inflicted to the cows remained unknown. Cause of the fire is under investigation.
