Two people were killed and another injured after a silicon tetrachloride storage tank exploded in north China's Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region Sunday, local authorities said. The blast occurred at about 10 a.m. in the Shengsen Silicon Technology Development Co,. Ltd., in Yuanbaoshan District, Chifeng City, said officials with the district government. Rescuers were cleaning up the toxic chemicals. Residents near the company have been evacuated. Police and work safety officials were investigating the cause of the accident, Xinhua reported.
