Akhir 05 , 1432 H. / March 10, 2011 -- Presided over by the Sultanate of Oman, the Council of the Arab League will convene at the foreign ministers level here on Saturday in an emergency meeting, to discuss the fallouts of the current events in Libya and how to take appropriate measures that would protect the civilians. In a statement, Deputy Secretary General of the Arab League Ahmed bin Hilli said today that the meeting will discuss how the Arab states would tackle the status quo in Libya, pointing out that the emergent meeting is being held at the request of the foreign ministers of Gulf Cooperation Council. -- SPA
