Akhir 05 , 1432 H. / March 10, 2011 -- The Conference on the role of Arab universities in promoting the principle of moderation among Arab youth was concluded yesterday at Madinah-based Taibah University. The two sessions held on the last day of the four-day conference discussed issues pertaining to the principle of moderation in Islam. The participants in the conference thanked Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince Sultan bin Abdulaziz, Deputy Premier, Minister of Defense and Aviation and Inspector General, and Prince Naif bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Second Deputy Premier and Minister of Interior, for their support for education and research. At the end of their deliberations, the participants recommended the establishment of an international center on moderation in cooperation with various institutions. They also called on universities to establish national research centers on extremism among youths. The participants made other recommendations aiming at explaining the sound understanding of the truth of Islam and promoting dialogue. The participants called on Arab governments to solve the economic problems of youths by fighting poverty and creating jobs.
