SWCC Manufactures Largest Desalination Plants in the World

Akhir 04, 1432, March 9, 2011, SPA -- Saline Water Conversion Corporation (SWCC) has signed a cooperation agreement with South Korean Doosan Company for the legal possession of all engineering and technical rights for engineering, designing and manufacturing desalination units of the type of Multi Effect Distillation (MED) with a capacity of 68,190 cubic meters per day of desalinated water which is the first of its kind in the world.
The Corporation's Deputy Governor for Operation and Maintenance Affairs Eng. Thabit bin Sowaider Allahibi said that thanks to the support of the Minister of Water and Electricity Eng. Abdullah Bin Abdulrahman Al-Hossein and the Corporation's Governor Fuhaid Bin Fahd Al-Sharif, the Corporation has succeeded in achieving this qualitative leap to be transformed from a technology consumer into manufacturer.
