Khair, 03, 1432 H/March 8, 2011, SPA -- Foreign Ministers of Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) held here this evening a meeting with the Foreign Minister of Australia Kevin Rudd on the sidelines of the 118th session of the Gulf Ministerial Council. The GCC delegation to the meeting was headed by Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Foreign Minister of the United Arab Emirates who is also President of the current session of the GCC Ministerial Council in the presence of the Secretary General of GCC Abdulrahman bin Hamad Al-Attiyah. At the conclusion of the meeting, a joint statement was issued in which the two sides pointed out to the current events in the region and expressed hope that the prevailing language of dialogue, wisdom and renounce violence in all its forms in order to preserve the unity of nations, civil peace and national reconciliation and to support the efforts of reform, development and achieves the aspirations of peoples, their security and stability. --More
