Akhir 03, 1432, March 08, 2011, SPA -- Gunmen in northern Mexico have killed seven police officers and a prisoner in an ambush on a transport convoy, officials said Monday. Sinaloa state Attorney General Marco Antonio Higuera said three state police vehicles were transporting two prisoners when they came under attack from gunmen hiding in about 20 vehicles. The ambush happened Sunday near the city of Guasave, and six other officers and the second prisoner were wounded, he said.
