Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques Chairs Cabinet Session 2 Riyadh

Ahmed Al-Jabir Al-Sabah of Kuwait for his offices to ease the tension between the United Arab Emirates and the Sultanate of Oman, and to Sultan Qaboos bin Said of Oman and President Sheikh Khalifa bin Zaid Al Nahyan of United Arab Emirates who contributed to make the offices a success for their wisdom and keenness on the interest of the two countries as well as the common destiny of the Gulf Cooperation Council Member States.
Dr. Khoja pointed out that the Cabinet reviewed a number of reports on the developments at Arab and international arenas, expressing the Kingdom's concern over the events witnessed by some Arab and Islamic countries, and stressing the importance of addressing these events with patience and wisdom that ensure security and stability for the peoples and their countries.
The Cabinet followed-up the development of events in Libya, calling for the end of violent acts to save lives and to preserve safety of Libyan people and its territorial integrity, and highlighting the importance of securing access of humanitarian aid to the injured and affected people.
The Cabinet lauded what occurred in the final communiqué of the 135th session of the Assembly of Arab Countries League held at the level of foreign ministers, for issuing resolutions that express Arab countries concerns as well as their anticipations.
The Cabinet denounced the continuity of Israeli authorities acts of arrest, storming and transgress on Palestinian lands, and continuity in distorting the historic features of Jerusalem in flagrant violation to Palestinian's human rights.
The Minister of Culture and Information pointed out that the Cabinet tackled, too, a number of scientific, cultural and economic activities and functions witnessed took place at the internal arena during the week, among is the announcement of winners of the 4th International Award of Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Abdullah Ibn Abdulaziz for Translation, the opening of Riyadh book fair of 2011 and the opening of Saudi Economic Forum organized by the Ministry of Finance in collaboration with Economy and Business Group.
