Awwal 26, 1432, March 1, 2011, SPA -- The Chairman of Saudi Human Rights Commission, Dr. Bandar bin Mohammed Al-Eiban has stressed that comprehensive reforms and continuing development of laws and regulations have included many areas of development in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, notably the judiciary, politics, economy, fighting corruption and establishing the principles of national dialogue and human rights. Addressing the 16th session of Human Rights Council currently in progress in Geneva, Dr. Al-Eiban said that the qualitative developments affecting the prosperity of citizens represented distinctive marks in the era of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah Ibn Abdulaziz Al Saud and formed the foundations of a comprehensive national progress to meet the requirements of the society in consistent with the Islamic law. He noted that these reforms have been proceeding according to the requirements and needs of the Saudi society and achieving tangible successes while maintaining the fundamentals of the society and avoiding the destabilization of its stability and security, adding that in this framework the King has issued royal decrees on supporting developmental programs in the Kingdom amounting to more than SR 110 billion for programs of housing, education, social security, expansion of job opportunities and increase of the standards of living for all strata of the society.
