Awwal 19, 1432, Feb 22, 2011, SPA-- The U.S. National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) announced Monday plans to attempt to launch Discovery on Thursday for its final voyage from the Kennedy Space Center in Florida. Good weather is forecast for Thursday's launch, which Discovery scheduled for the final voyage in place of November's failed attempt, due to fuel tank cracks that kept the shuttle grounded for months. The shuttle was returned to its hanger for several months of repair work. After returning from the International Space Station, Discovery will be retired and sent to a museum. The shuttle's final destination is expected to be the Smithsonian Institution in Washington.
