The National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) will launch space shuttle Endeavour on February 7, the first of five launches this year before the shuttle fleet is retired. Endeavour will launch from the Kennedy Space Center in Cape Canaveral, Florida on a 13-day mission to the international space station. The mission is scheduled to include three spacewalks, NASA said, and the shuttle will deliver the final U.S. portion of the space station, which will provide more room for station crew members. NASA will retire space shuttles Discovery, Endeavour, and Atlantis later this year. The space agency has been looking for places, such as museums, to house the shuttles after they are retired. Discovery will be sent to the Smithsonian Air and Space Museum in Washington. The price to house the other shuttles is $29 million each, NASA said.
