Awwal 04, 1432, Feb 7, 2011, SPA -- The Arab Inter-Parliamentary Union started here today its 17th conference in the presence of the chairmen of Arab federations and representatives of a number of concerned regional and international organizations. In an inaugural speech, Qatari Speaker of Shura Council Mohammed bin Mubarak Al-Khulaifi underlined the need to stand firmly in support of the rights of the Palestinian people. He called on the international community for the achievement of a just peace that ensures the inalienable and legitimate rights of the Palestinian people to establish their independent state with Al-Quds as its capital.
