Arab Parliamentary Union Concludes Conference in Qatar

Awwal 06, 1432, Feb 09, 2011, SPA -- Arab Parliamentary Union concluded its 17th Conference here today.
The delegation of Saudi Arabia to the Conference was headed by the Speaker of Majlis Al-Shura Sheikh Dr.Abdullah bin Mohammed bin Ibrahim Al Al-Sheikh.
In its statement, the Conference emphasized the importance of achieving Arab solidarity, closing ranks to confront the challenges facing the Arab nations, and overcoming the difficulties hindering their development and progress.
The Conference said that Arab solidarity forms a major foundation for strengthening the capabilities of Arab countries, and it is an effective tool to unite the potentials of the Arab nations, provide the factors of a comprehensive development, develop democracy, protect human rights, and strengthen the international positions of all Arab countries.
