A huge fire fanned by strong winds from Manila Bay has swept through a congested village in the Philippine capital, killing 12 people and displacing nearly 2,000. Fire officer Joselito Dugan says seven children were among those killed when the fire broke out late Saturday in San Roque village in Navotas city. He says the blaze burned for five hours and destroyed some 100 homes, according to a report of the Associated Press.
