Three Killed, Eight Injured in Construction Site Collapse in Central China

Three workers were killed and eight others slightly injured after a construction site collapsed Friday night in central China's Hunan Province, said local authorities Saturday.
The accident happened at a construction site of a hotel in Wulingyuan District of Zhangjiajie City at 9:45 p.m., Xinhua quoted the publicity department of the city's committee of the Communist Party of China as saying in a statement.
Eleven people were at the construction site when the accident happened. Rescuers retrieved two bodies and sent eight injured workers to local hospital, said the statement.
Police are investigating the accident.
