A magnitude-6.3 earthquake shook north-western Pakistan Monday, the second major tremor to hit the country in a week, the meteorological department said. No deaths or injuries were reported from the latest quake, which occurred at 7:45 am (0245 GMT). Department Chief Arif Mehmood said the epicentre was located in Tajikistan at a depth of 89 kilometres, according to a report of the German Press Agency "DPA." A magnitude-7.3 quake rocked south-western Pakistan Wednesday, causing the collapse of hundreds of mud houses. Two women died from heart attacks, and several people were injured.
