Prince Naif bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, the Second Deputy Premier and Minister of Interior, received at his office at the Ministry of Interior this evening the Sri Lankan Ambassador to the Kingdom Ahmed Aflil Jawad. At the outset of the meeting, Prince Naif bin Abdulaziz welcomed the ambassador of Sri Lanka, extending his personal and the Kingdom's government and people condolences on the sufferings of the people of Sri Lanka due to recent floods. He called on the world community to stand by the side of the people of Sri Lanka through providing relief and assistance, including foodstuffs and medicine, to the needy to alleviate their sufferings. Prince Naif bin Abdulaziz and the Sri Lankan ambassador also exchanged cordial talks and discussed a number of issues of mutual concern to the two countries, particularly in the security domain. The meeting was attended by senior protocol officials.
